Burns

Burn update.....   It has been about 5 days since my burn....ouch.   So did call doctors office next day and they wanted to see me s I am a diabetic and they have a high concern of infection.  Burns can get infected easily.   I have been doing a very light spray mist of Rose Water and DoTerra Lavender Essential Oils.
The burns are 1st and 2nd degree burns.   I was told to keep covered and an ointment to keep moist.   Keep in mind that most essential oils on the shelf have many properties such as fragrance and synthetic.  DoTerra brand does not however the medical industry cannot say to use them.   I am using a light spray mist of Tea Tree, Lavender and Rose Water.  I cannot manage to keep gauze wrapped.  So keep the burns open and uncovered.  using ointment and spray.   Everything looks good and healing properly.  I believe that the essentials are speeding up the process.   Sandy

Always, Always keep Lavender Essential Oil On Hand

This oil is such an Essential oil. No pun intended.  How important is this oil?  So amazingly vital.  Today I experienced an unexpected incident in my kitchen as I was cooking.   I was steaming some food and went to empty the boiling pot of water and one of the side on the pot slipped out of the cloth holder and I dropped the pan.  When it landed the hot water splashed up onto my inner legs.  Both sides.   The burn was so painful.   It was right up there with child birth. non stop.   I nearly passed out.   For two solid hours.   Cold compress and cold water.   I immediately put on aloe and made a lavender spray.  One ounce water and 25 drops of lavender oil. I applied the oil neat onto all areas of my burns.  I had 3 places about 12" x  6".  Very red.  My skin was not peeled off.  Because I have dealt with a bad burn before and dealt with healing and knowledge from a professional medic, I do first recommend anyone having such burns to seek immediate medical assistance. Every half hour I have sprayed the lavender spray and the oil neat.  I has been 7 hours.  I am still feeling the burning sensation in a few places.   I also am taking 800 ml of Advil.  I only have one blister that is about 1" x 2".   Considering how badly I burnt, one blister isn't to bad at all.   The Lavender also sooths the areas.  Roman Chamomile and Peppermint is also recommended.  I am going to apply that soon.   To prevent any infection, I will be using Tea Tree Oil.  I may call my doctors office tomorrow and get some advice or see if they feel I should be seen.  I know that Infection is the main concern of burns and keeping area clean and skin intact.
I will continue my post tomorrow and keep all updated.......

Hey Everyone,    Here is our first article

How to Make Essential Oil Linen and Room Spray

What you will need:  Spray bottle, distilled water, witch hazel (can be purchased at a grocery store) You can use alcohol instead. Essential oil of choice.
Rose Water is optional.

I use 8oz Blue Spray bottles when I make my spray.   Lavender is usually my choice of essential oil however, you can choose your preference and even mix oils.  Rose water is optional.  The reason I use rose water in my spray, it actually cleanses the clears the air and purifies the energy.  It is great to even spray over yourself for cleansing energy!

You can use any spray bottle however, the dark bottle helps to keep oil strength longer as light and sun, will break down oils.  Keep in a shaded or dark area when storing.   I use mine daily so, it would never have time to break down in several weeks.

Okay so for 8oz size bottle- put in a teaspoon of which hazel, 2 tablespoons of Rose Water, 10 drops of essential oil.   Put in 15 if you want the scent a little stronger  Try less 1st, then add more.  Close up your bottle, mark lavender linen and room spray.  Spray away.

Lavender will help create a relaxing atmosphere.  Great to spray on your bedding and linens. Spray around the room.   Enjoy
